Local Committees / Networks
Local committees, working groups and networks on refugee health have been established in a number of areas of high refugee settlement, in metropolitan and rural areas. Some groups meet regularly and others on an as-needs basis. A number of areas have conducted refugee health forums.

Metropolitan
- Hobson's Bay Refugee Health Network: have produced a new resource: Directory of Health Services accessible to refugees and asylum seekers in Hobson's Bay and surrounding municipalities. It includes GP clinics, regional and central services, other health support services and GPs listed by language. This is a work in progress and the authors are happy to receive updated or additional information. It is planned that the directory will be expanded to include other support services including the legal and housing sectors. - Wyndham Humanitarian Network: comprises a range of service providers, community and church groups who come together to provide local solutions to the settlement needs of refugee and humanitarian entrants in the city of Wyndham. The Network provides coordination amongst agencies and communities by encouraging collaboration, information- sharing, partnerships, identifying gaps and avoiding duplication of services. Includes working groups on health and well-being, education, housing and finance/fundraising. - Migrant Settlement Committee Eastern Region: represents a range of services in the Eastern region to strengthen coordination and collaboration. The Network meets monthly and produces an annual calendar of forums and activities which include those on housing, youth, domestic violence, employment and refugee health.
